We all experience situations in which someone asks us to repeat ourselves. It can be an intimidating situation that can leave us feeling anxious and unsure of how to respond. However, there are some techniques and tips we can use to take back control of the situation and speak more confidently.

The first thing we should remember is the law of control. This law applies to every aspect of our speech - the more in control we feel, the calmer and more relaxed we will be. When someone asks us to repeat ourselves, we should pause for a second or two and then respond with something like, "Oh sure what I said was...".

This gives us the time to take back control and relax. We can also use introductory words or phrases like "oh sure" or "oh I was just saying". It may feel weird at first, but it will become more natural with practice. Additionally, we can use the law of flexibility to create a variety of different ways to explain things which will help us become an amazing speaker.

With practice and dedication, we can become better at taking back control and speaking more confidently.
